The Simplest Driver Setup Hack You'll Ever Try

Newsletter #156 - This TINY Detail Is Ruining Your Driver Setup

Before you start changing your driver swing (AGAIN 🙄) there's something much simpler you should check first...

How are you actually putting your trail hand onto the club?

It sounds almost too basic to matter, but it's a setup mistake I see golfers make all the time, and it can create several problems before you've even started your backswing.

Let me explain…

Stop reaching for the club!

If you reach forwards with your trail hand to take your grip, it's very easy for that arm to rotate inwards. ❌

Your shoulders can then start to open. ❌

Your body tilts in the wrong direction. ❌

And suddenly you've created a setup that encourages exactly the kind of club path many golfers are trying desperately to fix!

All because of how you put one hand on the club.

There's a much easier way…

Instead of reaching for the grip, I want you to think about letting your trail arm hang naturally beside you before introducing the hand to the club.

That simple change can help:

âś” Square your shoulder alignment

âś” Create better driver spine tilt

âś” Put your trail arm in a stronger position

âś” Give your backswing better structure

I've actually used this as part of my own setup routine on the golf course for years.

And that's why I like it so much. Check out the video above for a simple visual guide on how to do this and get ready to hit longer, straighter tee shots…

Something close to my heart…

What I would consider my home club (where I grew up learning the game of golf) is in the process of raising funds for a cancer charity that is close to my heart, and that of some of the members who helped me on my way in the world of golf.

If there is anything you can contribute to the cause, no matter how big or small, please use the QR code below.

No pressure, no expectations, just some charitable outreach on my part if this is something you can get behind…

I hope you enjoyed this issue and it helps your game!
