The Tour Pro Release Amateurs Keep Getting Wrong
If you want to hit the ball straighter and actually get the distance your clubs are designed to give you, then we need to talk about how you release the club.
This is where A LOT of amateurs get stuck…
I see it all the time…
Players trying to hold on, dragging the handle through impact, getting cramped, stuck, and then wondering why the face and loft never quite behave.
Here’s the thing…
How you get the club from trail side to lead side has a massive influence on:
Clubface control
Delivered loft (at impact)
Strike quality
And yes…distance!
If the club never gets out in front of you, everything starts to crash: arms into body, handle down, club into the turf. Sound familiar? Check out this week’s video to see how we can stop all this from happening!
I have a question for you…
What % of shots does a 5 index golfer get inside of 20 feet from 15 yards away in the rough?(Data from Arccos Golf) |

Is It Time For a Home-Use Golf Sim?
Let’s be honest, all golfers dream of having their own home-use golf launch monitor. Personally, I think SkyTrak is the way to go here. The software is incredible, and for a fraction of the cost of a professional-use equivalent, the unit itself is off the charts good!
