THIS Is Why Your Strikes Feel Weak...
I've got a really good drill for you today…
It's fantastic for improving club path, but what I love most about it is that it also teaches something many golfers struggle with:
Getting the pelvis moving properly through impact.
One of the most common patterns I see is golfers who start rotating early, but then everything stalls. Let me explain…
The biggest mistakes…
The hips stop moving ❌
The body bunches up ❌
And by impact they're often far too square ❌
When you look at better players, you'll see something very different…
Their hips continue opening through the strike, creating:
Better shaft lean ✅
Better ball-then-turf contact ✅
More efficient distance ✅
And generally much stronger iron strikes ✅
Today’s newsletter is brought to you by ARCCOS:

The drill:
1) Set up to the ball as normal.
2) Now open both feet roughly 45 degrees and narrow your stance slightly so your feet sit more underneath your hips.
3) Keep the ball position around the middle of your stance or just slightly forward.
From there, the challenge is simple:
Swing the club out to the right.
The important thing is that you don't swing along the line of your feet.
Your feet and hips are already open.
Instead, you want to feel like:
The hips are moving left and opening ✅
While the club is moving out to the right ✅
That's the separation we're trying to create. Watch the video above to really understand what we’re aiming for here.
Something close to my heart…
What I would consider my home club (where I grew up learning the game of golf) is in the process of raising funds for a cancer charity that is close to my heart, and that of some of the members who helped me on my way in the world of golf.
If there is anything you can contribute to the cause, no matter how big or small, please use the QR code below.
No pressure, no expectations, just some charitable outreach on my part if this is something you can get behind…
I hope you enjoyed this issue and it helps your game!
Please reply to this email with requests for future topics you would like me to cover.
Have a great Easter weekend!
