Your Driver Swing Is Cooked if You Get This Move Wrong...
If your driver swing feels like it’s fighting you — one decent one followed by something miles offline — there’s a very good chance the problem isn’t what you’re doing on the way down. That’s a reaction to something that’s already happened.
It’s what’s happening on the way back that is shaping your results, good and bad…
In this week’s video, I’m breaking down a backswing move that loads of golfers miss… and when it’s missing, everything else has to compensate for it.
Before we get into that, this is how I’m working on my speed. The results are…well…scroll down to find out!
Why this backswing move matters so much:
The way your body tilts and turns in the backswing has a massive influence on:
Where the club travels ✔️
How it sits relative to your hands ✔️
And the path it “wants” to take coming down ✔️
Get the tilt wrong and the club can end up in all sorts of awkward places, which means you spend the downswing trying to rescue it.
TRUE OR FALSE: From 122 Yards (In the fairway), scratch golfers are more likely to hit it outside of 30 feet than inside 30 feet. |
That’s why so many golfers feel like they have to:
Force the club from the inside ❌
Manipulate the hands ❌
Or make aggressive moves late on ❌
